It's no secret that blue is my favorite color. It's one of my wedding colors. If you look in my closet, you will notice a whole section devoted to blue and varying shades of blue. I've loved the color blue for as long as I can remember.
What do you think of when you see blue? Does it remind you of an emotion? Sad? Cold? Calm? Or does it remind you of nature? Water? Sky?

Not only is blue my favorite color, but I actually think blue is pretty symbolic of my personality as well. Am I a calm person? Ha! Hardly. I stress out over the smallest things. Am I a cold person? I don't think so. I don't think anyone who admits that the
Budweiser horse commercial made her cry can be considered cold. So why do I think I'm a "blue" person?
One of the things I picture when I think of blue is a deep river. I think I'm a deep person. I'm not a big talker and I'm not going to share much about myself. Unless you ask. I have no issues with sharing (some might say I over share) but only when I know you actually want to know.
Which means many times you don't know what's hiding under the surface. Just like that river. And that's OK. I'm deep. And I'm blue.

Love your post. And I like how you described yourself as a "deep person". Very fitting for blue. Blue has been my favorite color as long as I can remember, too.

ReplyDeleteI think we sound a lot alike and I also like blue. My bedroom walls are painted a color called Dolphin Blue because I think blue is a calming color.

When I lived up North my bedroom was painted light blue and it was so peaceful and beautiful. I loved it. One day, I would love to get a room that same color again.
